"Battle Mountain: Graeme Obree’s Story" is a film about a man who made his name as a cyclist, so you would be forgiven for thinking this is a "cycling film". But it is so much more. Graeme has survived 3 suicide attempts, each time having the last rites read. He talks openly about the depression and the issues that led to his darkest place. So you would be forgiven for thinking its a "mental health film" But it is even more than that - Graeme stood up and was counted in the fight against drugs in sport. He lost a lucrative Tour de France contract because he refused to take the drugs on offer. On top of all this Graeme is an innovator and builder of bicycles and we get to see how he works and constructs his machines. This self taught engineer brings recycling and aerodynamics to a completely new level. He does everything with his own uniques deadpan and often comic humour. This trailer give a tiny flavour of what the film is about.
